Wearable Antennas

STAR-H has successfully completed Army contracts DAAD16-01-C-0010 and DAAB07-03-C-L002 to develop technologies for wearable antennas that can be integrated into combat uniforms and other protective garments. STAR-H is using advanced conducting fibers from DuPont® Corporation and advanced computer-controlled loom systems to weave antenna patterns directly into fabrics suitable for application to clothing, tents, and accessories.

STAR-H is continuing work on this topic with designs aimed for both military and civilian users, including the firefighting and law enforcement communities.
